In March 2016, I took a leap of faith and became a Mary Kay consultant.
Unlike my previous dabbling in direct sales, my time as a Mary Kay consultant has been refreshing, enjoyable, and productive. I’ve made new friends and strengthened existing relationships, and have found an alternative career path that I hope will one day allow me to stay home with my children while being a successful businesswoman.
As a former competitive Irish dancer, a woman who has struggled with acne since middle school, and someone who has tried multiple direct sales companies and been disappointed by all previous attempts, I am thrilled to say that Mary Kay carries the best cosmetics and skin care products I have ever personally used – and that this company’s policy, the Golden Rule, makes being a consultant more rewarding than I ever imagined possible.
